Asked people to send me pictures so I could do some paintings. These are the first six. Probably continue with it...seems like a good exercise.

Another Portrait

Another new painting....kinda into portraits lately. This one is 4 feet by 4 feet. House paint, spray paint, acrylic, and oil on canvas. Not completely done yet though.

Studio Mural

So after we hung my show on Friday night we headed downstairs to my studio and painted this mural on the walls. We got started around 1am and were down there until 7. Art and beer make for a good night. I have surprisingly few pictures of this process...maybe Brody has some.

I don't even know if we are done with it yet...but that's as far as we got that night. These pictures don't really give that green credit though...it almost makes your eyes bleed when you are actually standing in that tiny little space.

Stand Still Blog

Just started up the Stand Still Blog for my upcoming show. It only consists of progress shots of my work/studio over the last couple of terms right now. I'll add pictures of setting up in the gallery as well as pictures from the opening...when those things actually happen, of course. The blog is really just a way for me to have a record of the whole process of producing my first show.

Thesis Poster

Poster for my fast approaching Thesis show at
University. Fuck, I've got a lot of shit to do.

New painting

Not done with this...some work to be done yet on the eye, but I'm stepping away from it for a while so thought I'd post it. Oil on canvas...about 3 feet x 2 1/2 feet...give or take. Just trying new things out with this one. Bought a medium called Liquin and tried it out for glazes and detail. I like it. It dries really fast so it's good if you want to work a bit one day and come back the next. I used to work really fast and I'm trying to pace myself a bit lately so this stuff is good.

The picture is a little grainier than I'd like. I'll photograph it better when it's done.

Stand Still now available

I got my copies of Stand Still in the mail today....I think they look pretty good. Gonna sell a few off myself hopefully and it should be available through the ComiXpress website soon.
